1. AFCAT :
The AFCAT exam is conducted by the Indian Air Force (IAF) twice a year to recruit Class-1 Gazetted Officers in Flying and Ground Duties for both Technical and Non-Technical Branches. The conducting authority will soon release the AFCAT 2023 notification, which comprises all details related to the exam, such as the AFCAT exam date, selection process, syllabus, exam pattern, vacancies, etc.
Being one of the most sought-after exams, millions of students appear for it to enter a reputed Air Force Academy and receive a commission as an Indian Air Force Officer. 2. CDS:
The Combined Defence Services Examination (abbreviated as CDS Exam) is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment of Commissioned Officers in the Indian Military Academy, Officers Training Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Indian Air Force Academy. The Notification for the examination is usually released in the months of December and May, and the examinations are conducted in April and September respectively. Only unmarried graduates are eligible to sit for the exam. Examination is conducted twice a year. Successful candidates are admitted into the respective Academies after an interview conducted by the Services Selection Board (SSB).

3. NDA:
The National Defence Academy (NDA) is the joint defence service training institute of the Indian Armed Forces, where cadets of the three services i.e. the Indian Army, the Indian Navy and the Indian Air Force train together before they go on to respective service academy for further pre-commission training. The NDA is located in Khadakwasla, Pune, Maharashtra. It is the first tri-service academy in the world.

4. Territorial Army:
The TA (Territorial Army) is the second line of defence after the Regular Indian Army. The current role of the TA is to alleviate the regular army from static duties & to assist the civil administration in managing the natural calamities and maintaining essentials.
Currently, the TA has approximately 40,000 personnel who were officially employed through the yearly recruitments. The candidates can join the Territorial Army as Officers and as Junior Commissioned Officers (JCO). The Territorial Army Officers (i.e. Non-Departmental) recruitment is done for Ex-Servicemen & Civilians. For Civilians, the recruitment process is done for Territorial Army Officers (i.e. Non-Departmental).
